Mediating Role of Communication Patterns in The Relationship Between Self-Differentiation and the Sexual Satisfaction of Couples

Objectives: The individual consent of couples in most marital areas is affected by their communication patterns. The present study aimed to investigate the mediating role of communication patterns in the relationship between self- differentiation and sexual satisfaction of couples. Materials and Methods: The research method is a descriptive correlational study. The statistical population of the study was all couples residing in Bukan city in the year 2019. 500 couples were selected by multistage cluster sampling method and the differentiation questionnaires, communication patterns and Larsson sexual satisfaction were performed on them. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression and sobel test was performed by using SPSS-22 and PLS software. Results: The finding showed that in the survey of mediating role of communication patterns in the relationship between self-differentiation and sexual satisfaction, sobel test statistic value was equal to 18/663 (P-Value ≤ 0/01). Therefore, it can be concluded that the communication variables have a positive and significant mediating effect on their differentiation on sexual satisfaction. On the other hand, the effect of their differentiation on sexual satisfaction is both independent and positive and significant with the mediating variable of communication patterns. Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be said that couples therapists can emphasize on improving couples chr('39')communication patterns in order to improve coupleschr('39') sexual conflicts in their interventions And use this approach to prevent divorcing and divorcing couples from breaking up in their marriage.
